This Teachers’ Course is a one or two-week course consisting of 20 or 40 contact lessons plus an extensive cultural and social programme which is directly linked to the afternoon sessions. The primary objectives of the course are to familiarise the participants with recent pedagogical and classroom technology developments in ELT and to increase participants’ confidence in the use and application of some applications, particularly in an environment where many of the students are very computer literate. It will also provide an opportunity to develop and consolidate participants’ own language skills and promote awareness of modern, contemporary Ireland. What is CLIL? The CLIL method refers to teaching subjects such as art, geography, history and science through a foreign language. The two main underlying principles are that language is used to learn as well as communicate, and also that the content determines the language which is needed to learn. Who is the CLIL course for? The CLIL method can be for anyone who teaches subject matter through a foreign language i.e. English. It could be used for teachers who work in Bilingual schools who teach subjects likes history or geography, or even teachers of academic English. This CLIL Course is a two-week course consisting of 20 contact hours plus an extensive cultural and social programme which allows you to enjoy Dublin city while you study. While there is a distinct focus on exploring CLIL principles and techniques in the classroom, the course also involves a significant element of English language improvement and a focus on developing language awareness. We have developed this course for both practising teachers who wish to update and teachers who are new to CLIL. The teachers will also get the opportunity to update their knowledge of contemporary English. The course explores and promotes awareness of the different principles and techniques that are involved in a CLIL syllabus and also gives a deeper insight into how to further exploit your subject materials. This Life, Language and Literature for Teachers’ Course is a one or two-week course consisting of 20 contact hours per week plus an extensive cultural and social programme which is directly linked to the afternoon sessions. We have developed this course for practising teachers who wish to update their knowledge of contemporary English and who want to increase their appreciation of different methodologies and teaching techniques that can be used to bring culture and literature into the ELT classroom. The course explores and promotes awareness of Anglo-Irish literature and Irish writers in Dublin, a UNESCO City of Literature. - Services must be paid in full 10 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 14 years of age or over

Cancellation Policy

- Enrolment fees are non-refundable.
- The registration fee are non-refundable.
- Accommodation booking fee are non-refundable.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.

Refund Policy

- Bookings may be cancelled up to 14 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty or fee.
- A cancellation fee of € 150 applies when a course is cancelled less than 14 week/s before the course commencement date.

Visa Refusal

- In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 150 Euro and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.
